Commercial Travelers meet
MECHANIC FALLS — Twin City Council 160 of the United Commercial Travelers of America will meet at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at Bucknam Oaks. A potluck dinner will be served at the close of the meeting. All members and guests are welcome to attend.
Project Grad Chinese auction
NORWAY — The annual Chinese ticket auction, a fundraiser for Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School Project Graduation, will take place Saturday, Feb. 9.
There will be several hundred items to be won as well as a huge number of gift certificates which have been donated by area businesses and friends of this year’s senior class. There will also be a table of exciting $1 raffle items as well as a 50/50 raffle.
The doors of OHCHS cafeteria will open at 11 a.m. for early previews and ticket purchases, and the auction will begin at 1 p.m.
There will be a variety of lunch items and many snack treats available. This is the largest fundraiser of the year; organizers would gladly accept any donations, items for auction or dessert items up to Saturday morning. Donations can be dropped off at OHCHS or call Nancy Henderson at 674-3060 for more information.
SeniorsPlus at town halls
GREENWOOD/NORWAY — SeniorsPlus, the Area Agency on Aging, will be at the Greenwood Town Office on Wednesday, Feb. 13, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Norway Town Hall, Wednesday, Feb. 20, from 1 to 4 p.m., and at the Rumford Town Office, Wednesday, Feb. 27, from 9 a.m. to noon. Representatives will be on hand to answer questions or concerns.

Holiday craft program set
BRYANT POND — Charlotte Winchester will lead a holiday craft program at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, at the Whitman Memorial Library.
Supplies will be provided. The public is invited at no charge and light refreshments will be served.
Upcoming programs will feature Carol Welch in March talking about the complexities of adoption and Jennifer Locke in April sharing her expertise in Mandala art.
