BRIDGTON — Police are seeking the public’s help as they investigate a highway crash that look the life of a Bridgton man last week.
Bridgton Police Department Patrolman Donald “Mac” McCormick said Tuesday night that driver Paul Wentworth, 61, of Bridgton died of injuries at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston on Thursday.
Wentworth was driving a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee north on Route 302 at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, when it and a Ford F150 pickup truck traveling east on Willette Road collided at the intersection, he said.
Information on the second driver is being withheld pending the investigation, McCormick said.
The officer said Wentworth was taken to Bridgton Hospital before being flown to CMMC where he died at 8:56 a.m. Thursday.
McCormick said that although several people have come forward and police are following several leads, the investigation may take weeks.
