LEWISTON — The Lewiston CareerCenter, 5 Mollison Way, will hold a Training and Education Fair from 1 to 4 p.m. Feb. 14.
The fair is for those thinking about a new job or wanting to learn new skills. Attendees will meet training and educational providers and learn more about opportunities to access training and find the right training program. Organizations that offer financial resources to support education and training will also be available to answer questions.

Professionals Moving Ahead! on the first and third Thursday of each month, 9 a.m. to noon. Presenters cover professional development and job-search strategies. Registration not required.
Job Search Skills, providing the tools needed to be successful in a job search, including strategies to highlight skills, 1-3 p.m. Feb. 20.
Resumes and Interview Skills, an in-depth exploration of job search, resumes, applications and interviews. . Two sessions will be held, one at the CareerCenter, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 14, and one at the Auburn Public Library, 2 to 5 p.m. Feb. 21. To register for the Auburn Library session, call 333-6640.
Mock Job Interviews, provides the tools needed to feel comfortable in an interview. Participating in the Resume and Interview Skills workshop is a prerequisite to attending this workshop. It is scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. Feb. 27. Registration required.
Career Decision Making, a two-part workshop, the first day reviews the factors involved in making career decisions, the different assessment tools used and available resources. The second day helps apply the information gained from the assessments to identify the necessary career and training steps needed to achieve career goals. Registration required. Feb. 25 and March 1.

Adult Education Consultations are available in the lobby every Wednesday from 10:15-11 a.m.
Vocational Rehabilitation Orientation, for people with disabilities who are considering vocational rehabilitation services. Service providers are also welcome to attend. Registration not required. Sessions are held the third Friday of the month, 1-2:30 p.m.

CareerCenters, part of the Maine Department of Labor, offer a variety of services to help people find employment or upgrade skills. Each center provides several public-access computer workstations with Microsoft Office software, resume writing and cover letter software, Internet access and O’Net software for skills assessment. All CareerCenter services are free of charge.
