RUMFORD — Registration is under way until Wednesday, Feb. 27, for Winter Floor Hockey at The Greater Rumford Community Center.

“Beat the winter doldrums, sign up now,” Stephen Casey of the GRCC said Tuesday evening in a news report.

Players are being sought for all leagues, which include grades one through four (American Hockey League); grades five through eight (National Hockey League); High School League; and Adult League. All leagues are co-ed.

Coaches are being sought for the youth leagues. Casey said high school-aged teens cannot play in the Adult League.

The first games for the Adult League start Wednesday evening on March 6.

“We hear there is a real good anticipated response,” Casey said. “A lot of people want to get into the fun, social excitement and exercise.”
