MEXICO — Region 9 Adult Education will offer several courses in February.

Playing With Your Food — Create works of art out of vegetables and fruits. Fred Martineau will share his secrets for making food into show-stopping centerpieces. Class is from 6-8 p.m., starting Feb. 27 and lasting until April 3. Cost is $128. Supply list available at sign-up.

Extreme Couponing — Master couponer Matthew Shepard will share with the class inside information about store advertising cycles, blogs and coupon websites that will help attendees save money. Class is from 6-7:30 p.m. Feb. 26 to March 19. Cost is $18.

Grow an Organic Garden — Discover the secrets to healthy soil and plant varieties with Amy LeBlanc, a MOGFA-certified organic farmer known for her heirloom tomatoes. Class is from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 28 and March 7. Cost is $16.50 for the class and $5 for material.

Stone Pendant Necklace — During this two-night class with Jeanne Cole, those attending should have time to make the necklace provided and then create another one. The class is from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 26 and March 5. The fee is $6 and the kit is $5.50. For those needing basic jewelry making tools, a tool kit is available for $13.

For those seeking information about obtaining a high school diploma or GED, attend the next orientation at 5 p.m. March 5 or 8 a.m. March 15. A previously scheduled March 1 date has been cancelled.
