JAY – The Jay Village Water District trustees will hold a public hearing Wednesday on a proposal to get federal funding to help upgrade the water supply network.
The hearing will be held at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Jay Town Office.
The Water District is looking to obtain $1.3 million in federal funding to replace the water main and associated valves, services and hydrants along Route 4 from the Spruce Mountain High School in Jay to Intervale Road, also known as Route 140, and along the Intervale Road from Route 4 to Smith Avenue.
The Board of Trustees will meet at 5:30 p.m. before the hearing.
Among the agenda items are an update on December 2012 and January water breaks, financial update and a discussion on the Route 4 project with Darrin Larry of Wright-Pierce engineering firm.
The North Jay Water District Board of Trustees will meet at 7 p.m. at the Town Office, following the Jay Village Water District hearing.
