AUBURN — Maine New Media, based in Auburn, has partnered with, and assumed operations for, Portland-based MaineTakeout.com.

The partnership will offer the website’s 200-plus affiliated restaurants throughout the state expanded access to Maine diners and new online services and support for Maine’s restaurant industry.

Maine New Media and MaineTakeout.com are immediately able to offer restaurants in Maine online ordering systems that let customers place orders by computer, with online devices such as smartphones and tablets, and through restaurant or MaineTakeout.com’s Facebook pages. Those online orders are provided to restaurants by email, fax, text message as well as through many popular Internet-connected restaurant point-of-sale systems.

Basic online ordering services are offered to current MaineTakeout.com restaurants as a free new service for no additional charge, and new restaurants who affiliate with MaineTakeout.com will incur no additional charge over existing member rates.

Maine New Media also offers website design for computer desktop and mobile platforms, online marketing and advanced search engine optimization services.
