POLAND — The Friends of Ricker Library have planned a Meet the Candidates Forum for voters. It will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, in the conference room of the Town Office.

Seven candidates are vying for a total of three vacant seats on the Board of Selectmen. Walter Gallagher and Sandra Knowles are seeking one position and Michelle Arsenault, James Fernald, Janice Kimball, Lawrence Moreau and Stanley Tetenman are seeking the other two positions.

The special election will be held March 4.

Candidates will be introduced at the forum and will receive questions from the audience. It will be possible for voters to phone in or submit questions by email, as well.

The event will be televised on the local public access channel.
