FARMINGTON — A spring job fair, “Pathways to Careers,” hosted by the University of Maine at Farmington Career Services, will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, in the North Dining Hall and the main entrance hallway in the Olsen Student Center on South Street. The event will be free and open to the public.
An annual event for more than 15 years, this year’s spring job fair will feature recruiting representatives from nearly 30 businesses, nonprofit and government organizations, summer camps and learning centers.
Representatives will be on campus to hire for full-time and part-time career positions, seasonal jobs and internships. Businesses will include those focusing on career advising, community and mental health programs, local food, education, conservation, recreation sports, hospitality services and summer camps.
The fair is sponsored by UMF Career Services, Assistance Plus, My Job Wave and the Margaret Murphy Center.
In case of bad weather, the spring job fair will be held from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. Friday, March 8, in the same location.
