AUBURN — The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer Human Resource Boot Camp on two consecutive Fridays, March 15 and March 22, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
This interactive and informative series is designed for individuals new to HR or supervisors and managers who need to understand the HR function. This introductory course will offer a comprehensive overview of HR roles and responsibilities and provides critical information to help reduce potentially costly lawsuits, as well as improving employee management skills. Topics include: HR management, recruitment and selection, employee development, performance management, employment law, compensation and benefits.
The course will be facilitated by Beverly MacCallum. MacCallum is HR business partner and assistant vice president for Androscoggin Bank. She has been in the HR field for 20 years and has spent the past 15 at Androscoggin Bank. She has earned her senior professional of human resources certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute and is a member and past president of Central Maine Human Resources Association.
