Two men were indicted Wednesday in connection with a pair of unrelated stabbings that occurred over the past four months.

Tyler Belanger, 23, of 132 Old Greene Road, was indicted on a charge of elevated aggravated assault, accused of stabbing 29-year-old David Gelineau in a dispute over a woman.

On Nov. 11, police responded to the call of a fight at 10:21 p.m. outside 148 Oxford St. Gelineau had been stabbed in the upper torso and under one arm with a knife, police said. He was treated at Central Maine Medical Center.

Belanger was found a short distance away, police said. Following Wednesday’s indictment, he will be summoned to appear in court on the charge.

Jeremy B. Greenan, 28, of 23 Hill St., South Paris, was indicted on a charge of aggravated assault, three counts of criminal threatening, three counts of assault and a charge of criminal mischief.

According to a court document, Greenan is accused of stabbing another man with a knife on New Year’s Day in Auburn.

He is also accused of threatening a man and two women with the knife and assaulting each of them. Greenan was arrested a short time later on Young’s Corner Road.

Greenan will also be summoned to appear in court.
