LEWISTON — Kevin Lewis, chief executive officer of Maine Community Health Options, recently announced the organization has hired Jennifer Wilson, CPA, as controller.

MCHO is a not-for-profit that will provide health insurance to Maine people and small businesses beginning in January 2014.

Wilson has more than 25 years of public and private sector experience in the telecommunications industry. She most recently served multiple roles, including vice president, controller and clerk at Oxford Networks. Her background includes financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, regulatory reporting and board and shareholder relations.

In her new position, she will work with the chief financial officer to develop and implement corporate, financial, operational and fiscal policies, as well as control procedures.

Wilson received her bachelor of arts degree in accounting from Thomas College in 1988 and earned her CPA designation two years later. She has served on various boards and is treasurer of the Clarence Todd Memorial Scholarship fund.

She lives in Gray with her husband, a daughter and their golden retriever.
