GRAY — Fiddlehead School of Arts & Sciences, one of Maine’s first public charter schools, will hold an open house from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at 25 Gray Road.
The school was approved Feb. 5 by the Maine Charter School Commission and will open in the fall with 42 students in prekindergarten, kindergarten, first and second grades. The school plans to expand one grade level per year, up to fifth grade.
The school will serve children from the region, including those from Auburn, Casco, Cumberland, Gray, Lewiston, New Gloucester, North Yarmouth, Minot, Poland, Pownal, Raymond, Windham and surrounding areas.
