FARMINGTON — A power transformer blew near Hannaford’s on routes 2 and 4 Tuesday afternoon, dropping a power line across two tractor-trailers.

There were no injuries and no damage to the rigs, Farmington police officer Stephen Gould said.

Central Maine Power crew worked on the line, which fell just shy of the traffic lights in front of Hannaford’s. Members of Farmington Fire and Rescue helped with traffic, as did Franklin County Sheriff Scott Nichols and a couple deputies, Nichols said.
