WATERVILLE (AP) — Waterville police say two Colby College students have been charged with furnishing a place for minors to consume alcohol and 90 other people — 81 of them Colby students — have been summoned to court on charges of being a minor in possession of alcohol.

Police said they responded to home at about 11:45 p.m. Saturday to investigate reports of a loud party.

The students who rent the house — 20-year-old Oliver Brown and 21-year-old James Axelrod — were arrested. Brown faces an additional charge because police say he attempted to flee the scene.

Chief Joseph Massey told the Morning Sentinel most party attendees were cooperative, but five covered themselves with insulation in the attic in an attempt to hide.

Colby officials said the students could face disciplinary action.
