AUBURN — The new Sears Hometown Store at the Shaw’s Plaza at 600 Center St., has opened and will hold a grand opening celebration May 3 and 4.

The store, which is locally owned and operated, is smaller than the Sears that recently closed in Lewiston, but does offer appliances, lawn and garden items, Craftsman tools, parts, beds and vacuums. Orders for any items in a full-line store, including clothing, can be made.

Stores hours are: Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Contact number is 207-333-3670.
