NAPLES — Dr. Michael Coffman, Ph.D., will discuss Agenda 21, Open Space and Sustainable Development, at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at Lake Region High School. Gov. Paul LePage will be in attendance.
“LD 220, an Act to Ban the UN Agenda 21 in the state of Maine” is currently working its way through the legislative process in Augusta. Gov. LePage considers Dr. Coffman’s program important enough to attend.
Coffman is a noted scientist in the fields of wetlands, forestry, ecology, environmentalism and global warming. He has traveled the country and the world educating thousands on Agenda 21/Sustainable Development and Open Space.
Coffman has a positive message of how national sovereignty, free market enterprise, private property rights and traditional values are superior to the global treaties and agreements leading to global governance proposed by the United Nations and as seen in Agenda 21. Sustainable development, open space, smart growth and conservation easements are but a small part of Agenda 21.
Coffman has a Master of Science in biology from Northern Arizona University and a Ph.D. in forest science from the University of Idaho. He has been involved in ecosystem research for more than 20 years; assisted the U.S. Forest Service in developing an ecological land classification system for each of the National Forests in Region 9; and taught and conducted research on forest ecology and forest community dynamics for 10 years at Michigan Technological University.
His latest book is “Plundered: How Progressive Ideology is Destroying America.”
In 1992 a UN Earth Summit resulted in a 1,000 page blueprint for the world wide implementation of sustainable development, Agenda 21.
The impact of Agenda 21 includes: Abolish forever your private property rights; Seizure of private property; Forbidding human access to millions of acres of land; Depopulation of rural areas forcing people into high density urban settlements; Depopulated areas, including towns and cities, declared open space and off limits to humans.
