The full moon rises behind one of the steeples of the former St. Patrick’s Church in Lewiston on Thursday night. This full moon is called the Pink Moon not because it is pink. According to the Farmers’ Almanac, the name came from the herb moss pink, or wild ground phlox, which is one of the earliest widespread flowers of spring.
