LEWISTON — Smith Reuter Lull Architects, with offices in Lewiston and Bethel, announces that Gabrielle Russell has received her professional license to practice architecture in Maine.
Russell has been with the firm for more than a year. In that time, she has worked on design projects for residential townhouses in downtown Auburn, the Maine Mineral & Gem Museum, Rainbow Bicycle, and the renovation to Kennedy Park Bandstand.
Russell is also an LEED-accredited professional, a certification for sustainable building design and construction knowledge.
She is a founder and president of Grow L+A, a nonprofit dedicated to sustainably developing and improving Lewiston and Auburn. She is also a past chairperson and member of the Lewiston Board of Appeals, and past L/A Arts board of directors member.
She grew up locally and returned here after receiving her bachelor and master of architecture degrees from Tulane University. She is currently a downtown Lewiston resident and has been working with her partner to redevelop the building that housed Le Messager French Newspaper, where LA Magazine and Prose Gallery are at 223 Lisbon St.
