Jay has no takers to fill two positions on the RSU 73 Board of Directors. Both Livermore and Livermore Falls will have candidates for the school board on ballots in those towns.

No one took out papers for the three-year positions, Jay Town Clerk Ronda Palmer said.

This has never happened in Jay, she said.

“We will have write-ins,” Palmer said.

Current Jay representatives Dan DiPompo and Tammy Dwinal-Shufelt are not seeking re-election.

Two other positions on the RSU 73 school board, one in Livermore and another in Livermore Falls, have incumbents seeking re-election with no opposition. Diane Gould is seeking another term as Livermore’s representative. Tammy Frost is running for a second term to represent Livermore Falls.

All three towns will have their elections from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, at their respective town offices.

Both Livermore and Livermore Falls will have a contested race for the Board of Selectpersons and Board of Selectmen, respectively.

Livermore residents Rodney Newman and Jessica Tessier are seeking the two-year selectperson position currently held by Wayne Timberlake.

Mark Chretien is running unopposed for a three-year term on the Board of Selectpersons. Tom Berry, who currently holds the position, is not seeking re-election, Town Clerk Renda Libby said.

In neighboring Livermore Falls, incumbent Jeffrey Bryant and Laurie Sanborn will square off for a two-year term on the Board of Selectmen.

Incumbent Selectman James Collins is running unopposed for another three-year term on the board, and Kenny Jacques, a former selectman, is running for a one-year term. That position is currently held by Ken Pelletier, who has resigned from the board. If elected, Jacques will finish out his term.

Jay Selectman Justin Merrill is unopposed for a second term on the Jay Board of Selectmen.

Stephan Franchetti is running for a term on the North Jay Water District. Darren Roundy is running for a term on the Jay Village Water District. Both are uncontested.
