RANGELEY — A local woman is accused of punching a man in the head Sunday night and then going out of Sarge’s Pub & Grub and damaging his truck with a sharp object, police Chief Dennis Leahy said Monday.
Officer Jared Austin charged Aubrey Thurston, 27, of Rangeley on one count each of misdemeanor assault and criminal mischief, he said. She has a Farmington court date of June 12.
The Oquossoc man told police he was sitting at the Main Street bar at about 10:08 p.m. when a woman he knows came up to him and punched him two times on the side of the head, Leahy said.
The man called 911.
When Austin arrived at the bar, a witness told him the woman had also damaged the man’s truck.
The damage was estimated at $918, Austin said.
