MONMOUTH (AP) — Police say a Chelsea man has died after his motorcycle rolled over him as he rode through Monmouth.

Chief Kevin Mulherin says 48-year-old Bruce Morgan and another motorcyclist were riding through town at about 9 p.m. Tuesday when Morgan lost control, started to slide and fell off his bike. The chief says the bike rolled over Morgan and killed him instantly.

He was not wearing a helmet.

Mulherin tolds the Kennebec Journal (http://bit.ly/12YOtiH) speed was not a factor and police are checking to see whether alcohol was involved.

Morgan was described as an experienced rider who owned several bikes.
