WENHAM, Mass. — On May 18, Brian Riley Craig, son of Jerry and Kathi Yergin of Lisbon Falls and James and Betsy Craig of Amesbury, Mass., received a bachelor’s degree in Christian ministries with a concentration in youth ministry and a double major in Biblical studies from Gordon College.
Craig received many honors during his time at Gordon. He made the dean’s list and received presidential honors for his academic work.
While at Gordon, Craig was a resident adviser and served with an after-school tutoring program in Lynn, Mass. He also participated in an honors program that allowed him to live in an intentional community, and he started a club on campus that focused on building relationships with the Jewish community.
Gordon also allowed Craig the opportunity to explore the world. In his freshman year he took a six week geography course in Israel, and he also went on service-learning trips to Nicaragua and Haiti.
Craig graduated from Lisbon High Schoolin 2009.
After graduation, Craig plans to attend graduate school at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Mass. He received a full-tuition scholarship to pursue his Master of Divinity degree.
