BANGOR (AP) — Husson University says it will offer a bachelor of science in sport management and a coaching minor beginning next fall.

The Bangor school said this will allow for the addition of several new classes including sport finance, sport marketing, governance and policy in sport, and recreational program and event management.

Sport Management Program Coordinator Richard Fabri said the curriculum expansion will provided greater opportunities for employment in the recreation and youth sports field.

In addition, Husson University has entered into an undergraduate curriculum agreement with the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association, which provides continued education and certification opportunities to interscholastic athletic administrators.
