CUMBERLAND — Norton Insurance announces that the agency has acquired the Davis Insurance Agency of Monmouth from United Insurance Group.

As a result, Davis Insurance Agency is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Norton Insurance Agency. The Monmouth-based agency will continue to operate from 832 Main St. and will market under the Davis Insurance Agency name.

With five full-time agency professionals, the Davis Insurance Agency provides personal and business insurance to residents and businesses of Western Kennebec County. All five members of the Davis Insurance Agency have agreed to continue their employment as members of the Norton Insurance Agency team.

Norton Insurance is a division of Norton Insurance with offices in Maine and Portsmouth, N.H. Norton currently operates the Fairfield Kilgore Agency in Winthrop, and the agency’s presence in Kennebec County is further strengthened by the Davis Insurance Agency acquisition.
