FARMINGTON — Police say a person with long, curly hair was caught going through a vehicle parked at a home on Middle Street on Monday evening.

The Subaru station wagon was left unlocked, Sgt. Edward Hastings IV of the Farmington Police Department said.

About 10:17 p.m. police were called when the homeowner returned and found the person going through the car. Once spotted, the suspect fled on foot toward the Recreation Center, Hastings said.

A pack of cigarettes was taken from the car.

The incident is under investigation. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Farmington Police Department at 778-6311.
