For survivors of rape and sexual assault, the crime is often just the beginning of years of silent suffering. One of them is Bill Lowenstein of Auburn. He shares his story with the Bangor Daily News in a multimedia project that features three Maine survivors who share what happened to them when no one else was looking. By ending their own silence, they hope to encourage more people to seek the help they need.
