FARMINGTON — A section of Farmington Falls Road was shut down for about a half-hour Monday afternoon due to a propane leak in a truck parked at Twitchell Fuel Co.

Farmington police Sgt. Edward Hastings IV was driving by the oil company shortly after 4:30 p.m. when he smelled a strong odor of propane, according to his report.

Farmington Fire and Rescue was dispatched to the scene for hazmat procedures and a Twitchell representative was called, according to a police department secretary.

No injuries or damage was reported. The road was shut down as a precaution, she said. It was reopened about 5:15 p.m.
