LIVERMORE FALLS — All current vacant teaching positions were filled for RSU 73 schools Tuesday night when the board met in a special, half-hour session.
Superintendent Robert Wall said only a few co-curricular positions remain to be filled before the beginning of the new school year.
Danielle Caron was appointed as a kindergarten teacher for Jay Elementary School.
At Livermore Elementary School, Angela Frey and Amanda Hinkley were appointed to two first-grade teaching positions and Rachel Ventella was approved for a third-grade position.
A social studies position at Spruce Mountain High School was filled by Kate Prideaux.
Wall said the current $1.8 million renovation and reuse project at SMHS, Spruce Mountain Middle School and the Jay Community Building is on schedule and within budget.
He said all instructional areas are expected to be completed by the beginning of the school year. Other parts of the project, such as construction of the connector between the high school and middle school, likely will be completed sometime in the fall.
The board’s next regular meeting was set for 6 p.m., Aug. 8, at the Cedar Street Central Office.
