PERU — Two local men were taken to Rumford Hospital following a rollover Tuesday morning on Concord Pond Road, Oxford County Deputy Sheriff Michael Dailey said.

Bruce Farrar, 60, of Milton Township and his passenger, Michael Sanborn, 55, of Hartford, were taken by Med-Care Ambulance after they were found walking down the road from the crash, Dailey said.

The rollover happened at about 7:50 a.m. on the Woodstock-Peru line as Farrar was driving a 1999 Chevy Malibu.

“It looked like he came into the corner too fast, and the driver overcorrected,” Dailey said.

The Malibu left the road and went into a ditch before rolling onto the driver’s side, where it came to rest back on the road, he said.

Dailey said the crash remains under investigation.

The totaled car was taken from the scene by Roland’s Automotive of Mexico. Firefighters also responded to help, although the pair were able to get out of the vehicles themselves.
