WILTON — Allegedly clocked driving 111 mph in a 40 mph zone, police arrested a Lyman man on a charge of criminal speeding Sunday.
Jeremy Doucette, 38, was traveling west on Routes 2 and 4, also known as Burgess Hill, at about 8:39 a.m. Sunday when officer Ryan Richardson spotted him, Chief Heidi Wilcox said Monday. Doucette traveled into Jay before stopping for the officer, she said.
Doucette told police he was trying to catch up to his wife, Wilcox said.
He was taken to Franklin County Detention Center and released Sunday on $300 cash bail. He is expected to appear in Franklin County Unified Criminal Court on Oct. 16.
