MILBRIDGE (AP) — Police say a Milbridge man has died in a motorcycle accident.

Speed and alcohol may have been factors.

Authorities said 25-year-old Bryan Reed was headed north on Route 1A at about 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday when he lost control when crossing Bridge Street.

Responders told WABI-TV (http://bit.ly/15xjlc1 ) that Reed fell off his bike and hit the guard rail.

That road was shut down until midnight during the investigation.

Milbridge police were assisted by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and state police.
