DURHAM — One man remained in serious condition at a Lewiston hospital Friday following a three-vehicle collision Thursday at the intersection of Pinkham Brook and Quaker Meetinghouse roads.

State Police said Paul Black, 44, of Norway, was ejected from a GMC pickup during the collision and was in serious condition at Central Maine Medical Center on Friday.

The other two people involved, Chungho Cheng, 40, of Lewiston, driving a Toyota SUV, and Amy-Lynn Law, 19, of Lisbon, driving a Dodge Neon, were treated for minor injuries and released Thursday, according to Trooper Steven Green.

State Police on Friday were still investigating the cause of the collision, which occurred at about 4:45 p.m.

Police on Thursday said witnesses reported that the driver of one vehicle, headed west on Quaker Meetinghouse Road, went through a stop sign at the intersection and collided with the other two vehicles. There is also a blinking red light at the intersection. Green could not confirm that information Friday.

The commuter-hour wreck brought rescue crews from several towns, including Durham, Freeport and Lisbon. All three vehicles were demolished.
