LEWISTON — Maine Centers for Women, Work, and Community is offering a free five-week class called “My Money Works: Tools for Smart Money Choices.” It will be held at its Lewiston Center at the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College, Westminster Street, on Wednesdays, Oct. 9, 16, 23, 30 and Nov. 6, from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
The 15-hour class is aimed at helping a person gain the skills and confidence needed to stretch their money, pay their bills, reduce their debt, find money for savings, and set personal financial goals. At the end of the class, each participant will have a plan in place to achieve greater financial stability. A follow-up session is scheduled to provide additional networking and support.
