DURHAM — A local driver complained of back pain in a car-van crash Monday afternoon at Quaker Meetinghouse Road and Route 125.

Maine State Trooper Jessica Shorey identified the drivers as Beverly Blanchard, 75, of Durham and Anwar Muska, 22, of Florida. Blanchard, who complained of back pain, was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland by Durham Fire and Rescue.

According to Shorey, Blanchard was driving north on Route 125 and Muska was traveling west on Quaker Meetinghouse Road approaching the intersection of Route 125.

Being unfamiliar with the road, which has a stop sign and a red blinking light, Muska collided with Blanchard’s van at the intersection, Shorey said. Both air bags deployed, she said.

Muska’s 2013 Ford Focus and Blanchard’s 2003 Ford minivan were towed from the scene of the 4:24 p.m. crash. No charges were filed.
