FARMINGTON — The University of Maine Cooperative Extension’s Franklin County Extension Association will hold their Annual Business Meeting and Public Supper from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Farmington Grange, 124 Bridge St., West Farmington.
The highlight of the evening will be special guest David Cook, author of “Over the Gravel Bar: Native Canoe Routes in Maine,” who will give a talk about his book.
The public supper starts at 6 and costs $10 per person. Reservations are required for the supper which will consist of a delicious shepherd’s pie (vegetarian option available), tossed salad, rolls and gingerbread with whipped cream. The reservation deadline is Oct. 16.
This event is open to the public, as the University of Maine Cooperative Extension serves all of the citizens of Maine through their agricultural, home gardening and 4-H programs, to name just a few.
