Have two sons, one in Public service. Other is Executive Chef for a top wholesale food distributor; Two grandsons, both in college.

I have been a School committee Member for the past five years.

I was Director for 35 Years of a Local Private School And GRADUATED about 2000 students; Being responsible to interview all prospective students; Taking care of ALL financial applications as well as filing all of the reports for same.

I was in charge of all operation of this school, including schedule of the instructional methods and system throughout their schooling.

Civic organizations:

Being responsible for this school, it took all of my time working between 50 to 60 hours a week, therefore I could not be civically involved during this time in my life. I was a workaholic.

Any book that deal with technology, computers and iPads.

What is the best political advice you have received?

Vote your conscience, I am a very conservative type of person. Look at all sides of the spectrum and then make a best vote for the majority.

What Maine political figure do you admire most?

Governor LePage he was voted into office to bring down the cost of welfare and now that he done this he is being criticized. This needed to be done for we will be broke soon if this is not contained

What has the city council done during the past two years that you agree with? What have they done that you disagree with?

Took them a long time to get going but once they did they seem to still be divided in their voting. You almost can guess the way they will vote on issues well in advance. Councilmen should give the City Manager direction rather then being directed by the Mayor.

What has the city manager and the city staff done during the past two years that you agree with? What have they done that you disagree with?

They got to approve the two sheet ice arena as an economic stimulus. I hope that it will be successful. I have been against it and still am.

What has the school committee done during the past two years that you agree with? What have they done that you disagree with?

Approving the iPad’s for the kindergarten and then also for the 1 st grade. It has shown to be a great movement for there have progress faster then if they would never had them. This year the State bought the iPads for all Middle School students as well and the School Committee got them for the High School. This was the best move on our part for TECHNOLOGY is the wave of the FUTURE —  just look around and you will NOTICE how they are being used in a lot of places. This will be the THIRD year where persons are coming from a lot of FAR AWAY places to look at our program.

What is your solution for Auburn’s high school?

Wait until the State approves the FUNDING of it. It needs to be made better so that we can get our Accreditation BACK.

Any last words?

I have worked towards trying to make the Council and School Committee work together and this has not yet happened and I doubt if it will ever happen.

I have given it my all to make things happen for the STUDENTS’ Education. It seems that the only time we get an audience at our School Board a Meetings is when there are complaints about we are asking for too MUCH money for this and it always happen that the school Budget gets DECREASED.

I would like to see more PARENTAL involvement in their children’s education. Children are OUR FUTURE and we should be more concern with their TRAINING. Come and visit our meeting and MAKE suggestion as to what you would like for us to do.
