DURHAM — A local driver was injured Monday morning when his Jeep struck the abutment at the entrance of the Durham-Lisbon bridge.
David A. Stanley, 61, of 705 Pinkham Brook Road was making a right turn from Pinkham Brook Road onto the bridge when he was blinded by the sun, Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jim Jacques. The vehicle struck the abutment.
Stanley suffered a minor injury and was checked by Durham Fire and Rescue workers.
His 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee was demolished in the 8:30 a.m. crash, Jacques said. No charges were filed.
