GRAY — Sheriff’s deputies arrested on Wednesday a Westbrook man and are seeking another in connection with an assault and robbery at a Gray home early Wednesday morning.

Cumberland County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported disturbance at a North Raymond Road home at about 1:20 a.m.

A 20-year-old man said he was assaulted by a couple of men outside of his home. He said they stole several items from inside his home then fled.

The victim was treated at a local hospital for injuries from the assault.

Police later discovered the vehicle that fled the scene in Westbrook and found items from the victim’s home in the vehicle.

Also in the vehicle was Sam Kalmach, 19. of 33 Foster St., Westbrook. He was arrested for robbery, aggravated assault and burglary.

Police are seeking the second man, Matthew Kalmach, 21, of Portland in connection with the incident.
