AUBURN — Pete and Connie Bowen celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 4 with a surprise party at Martindale Country Club.

They were married Oct. 5, 1963, in Sabattus. Philip Bowen, best man, gave the toast for the couple. More than 100 guests, including their seven children, 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, were in attendance.
