BUCKFIELD — Selectmen voted Saturday to extend the special amusement permit for Captain Bly’s Tavern to coincide with its liquor license.

Legal counsel advised that the town ordinance requires the special amusement permit to be valid for the same time as the tavern’s liquor license.

At the time the permit was issued, the tavern had not received its liquor license. Since the owners have done nothing to merit suspension or revocation of their permit, selectmen issued the extension.

The license and permit will expire Dec. 25. There will be public hearings on the permit before then.
