LEWISTON — David and Lisa Ouellette of Lewiston are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Amber Crystal Ouellette, to Matthew Joseph Bissonnette, son of Paul and Jeannine Bissonnette of Lewiston.

Miss Ouellette has completed her bachelor’s degree in liberal studies and is in the master’s degree program at the University of Southern Maine for a degree in education. She currently works at a nonprofit daycare in South Portland and is also interning in the Windham/Raymond School District.

Mr. Bissonnette recently graduated with two bachelor’s degrees in leadership and organizational skills, as well as social behavior science. He works at Lowe’s Home Improvement in Portland as the department manager of inside and outside garden.

The wedding will be held at 1 p.m. on Aug. 8 at the Basilica in Lewiston.
