LIVERMORE — Fire damaged a house at 642 Federal Road near the intersection with Crash Road early Monday evening.

Nobody was at the house owned by Michael Gammon. The house had been without power since Sunday’s powerful windstorm, fire Chief Don Castonguay said.

Firefighters from Livermore, Jay and Livermore Falls and a rapid intervention team from Wilton responded, he said. Smoke was coming out of the house when firefighters arrived. The fire was quickly put out, he said.

The house had smoke and water damage, he said, but was saved.

Castonguay remained at the scene at 7:30 p.m. waiting for a state fire investigator to determine the cause.

No more information was available Monday night.
