Last Friday Brady Chapman of Top Notch Tree Service took down a dying old willow tree in front of the Bethel Inn. Here, suspended from a basket attached to a Bancroft Corp. boom truck, he cuts limbs. Chapman’s new company carries on the tradition of his late father, Sam, who operated Chapman’s Tree Service. Mother Nature, not to be outdone, took down her own tree at the inn Sunday as wind gusts of over 50 miles an hour were reported. Thousands of CMP customers in the area lost power and fire departments were busy responding to downed lines and trees on wires.
