WILTON — Police said a Jay woman was injured in a collision on Route 2 on Tuesday.

April Soucy, 32, of Jay was driving a 1998 Honda Civic west at about 1:30 p.m. when she attempted to make a left turn into a driveway across from the weigh station, Wilton police officer Ryan Richardson said.

She told police she didn’t see an oncoming car, which was driven by Matthew Labonte, 22, of Farmington, an employee of Enterprise Car Rentals in Farmington. The vehicles collided and Soucy’s landed in a ditch, he said.

Labonte had just picked up a customer, Juliet Foy, 46, of Wilton, and was heading to Farmington in a 2014 Chrysler owned by Enterprise, Richardson said.

Neither Labonte nor Foy was injured.

Soucy complained of back, neck and head injuries and was transported to Franklin Memorial Hospital by NorthStar Ambulance, he said. She was still being treated later Tuesday afternoon, according to a spokesman at FMH.

Soucy’s car was towed by Hilltop Collision Center in Jay and the Enterprise car by MT Pockets of Dixfield, he said.

Members of Wilton Fire Department helped at the scene.
