PARIS — A crash on Main Street on Thursday afternoon destroyed a sedan and sent a young man to the hospital with minor injuries.
According to Paris police Chief Michael Madden, a 17-year-old male was driving a silver Volkswagen sedan north on Main Street when he lost control of the vehicle, slammed head-on into a utility pole and struck another car near the busy intersection with Western Avenue.
The other vehicle, a 2006 Hyundai SUV, was damaged slightly in the crash, Madden said. The Volkswagen was a total loss.
The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway for evaluation.
