GRAY — Even though some Mainers are spending Monday digging out from Sunday’s snowstorm, another one is closing in, according to the National Weather Service.
A second winter storm could hit the state Tuesday and last into Tuesday night, the NWS forecasted.
There is a 30-60 percent chance that up to six inches could fall in certain areas, according to the National Weather Service.
Several communities reported seeing more than a foot of snow as the first major storm of the season hit Maine hard Saturday night into Sunday.
The most came in York County, with multiple towns reporting 16 inches of snowfall.
