The United Parish Congregational Church of Harrison and North Bridgton held its second annual Christmas in Harrison Breakfast on Dec. 7 at the Olde Mill Tavern in Harrison. There was double the people from last year who enjoyed a delicious buffet breakfast complete. The decorations and Christmas music, including Santa Claus stopping in, put everyone in the holiday spirit. All donations received went to the Deacons Fund which provided 46 Thanksgiving boxes for local families and will provide food cards for 50 families this Christmas. The fund also provides emergency assistance including heating fuel. None of this would be possible without the generosity of the Searles family who own the restaurant, of everyone who donated their time and food and of everyone who came to enjoy a wonderful holiday gathering and experience the real “Reason for the Season.”
