NORWAY — The first baby of 2014 at Stephens Memorial Hospital Family Birthplace was born Saturday.
Amanda Mayberry and Kyle Ring of Paris welcomed their first child, Cooper David Ring, at 7:19 p.m., according to hospital officials. He was two weeks past his due date.
Cooper weighed 8 pounds, 15 ounces and measured 20 inches in length. Dr. Gregory Hardy of Western Maine OB/GYN delivered the baby.
As part of the celebration, Stephens Memorial Hospital presented baby Cooper and his family with gifts from area businesses, including Hannaford, New Balance, Books N Things, Walmart and Walgreens.
