Senior Health Expo ‘Life Without Limits’
BRUNSWICK — The Spectrum Generations “Life Without Limits” Senior Health Expo will bring together a variety of resources for older adults from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, at Cook’s Corner Mall.
The Expo provides an excellent opportunity to learn about products and services in the categories of medical services, fitness and health, technology, legal, community services, and housing/respite care.
Organizers expect well over 200 attendees, more than 60 participants and various demonstrations and clinics through-out the day. Cohen on the Meadow will have a variety of food available for purchase during the event.
In addition to providing a link between consumers and providers, this gathering also encourages networking within the community, thereby strengthening the value of products and services.
Mexico UCC annual meeting
MEXICO — Mexico Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, will hold its Annual Meeting on Sunday, Jan. 19, following the 10 a.m. worship service.
After choosing a moderator, members will receive reports of officers, the pastor and committees for 2013. They will elect a slate of officers for 2014 and adopt a budget for this year.
Members are reminded to bring a hot dish, salad or dessert for the potluck lunch which will precede the meeting.
DownEast Pride networking event
PORTLAND — The DownEast Pride Alliance “Business After Hours” Networking Event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, at Portland & Rochester Public House, 118 Preble St.
The event is free. There will be a cash bar, light food provided and a media table for sharing business cards. All are welcome.

Dickens group reading Pickwick
AUBURN — The Pickwick Club, Maine’s Dickens reading and discussion group, will meet from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Auburn Public Library.
The work to be discussed is “The Pickwick Papers,” chapters 1-28. Moderator is Sherrie Baker.
